Fitness Academy Asia is the official education partner of the Cancer Exercise Training Institute (CETI) in Asia. Together with CETI, we aim to empower personal trainer to become knowledgeable and skilled in providing safe and effective exercise programs for individuals who have been affected by cancer.
CETI has produced the gold standard of education in oncology exercise. They have trained more individuals than any other organisation in the world.
The Cancer Exercise Specialist® Advanced Qualification Course was developed for health and fitness professionals to train and prescribe exercises to cancer patients before, during and after their treatment.
Course Structure
Module 1
An in-depth look at the most common surgical procedures for 27 of the most common cancer types, as well as pediatrics.
Module 2
Insight into breast cancer surgeries, cancer treatment side-effects, neurological complications, and lymphedema management.
Module 3
Postural assessment, individualised training based on range of motion, postural deviations, address side-effects, and manage lymphedema
Module 4
How exercise programs benefit cancer patients and survivors, combating fatigue, depression, and pain, the role diet plays in treatment and survivorship.
